The Sunrisers Hyderabad face-off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru kickstarted IPL 2026 with a bang as the high-scoring contest went all the way to a nail-biting finish. Batting from their middle order, SRH scored a competitive 201/9 in 20 overs. RCB, in reply, reached the daunting target extremely comfortably, reaching 203/4 in just 15.4 overs. Thanks to explosive innings by Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal , Bengaluru replied with an easy 6-wicket win. It was an enthralling contest, punctuated by slam-bang stroke play, plenty of boundaries and gave the fans a perfect debut to this IPL season.
